Why a publication?

We decided that fictional writing was the best choice for our narrative. This choice was made since the act of fictional writing freed us from any limitations caused by sensitive topics such as religion.
Therefore, a publication was also the best route we could take.
We wanted to keep the suspension of disbelief, and extending it by choosing a realistic type of publication, such as a museum booklet which is a mainstream outlet. As to insert the fiction into reality.

Why did present the theory in this way?

Since our presentation theme was about found narratives tied together by a museum publication; we choose to write and present the Theory we worked together during this practice as a found artifact that would be presented in this fictional exibhition as well.

The theory is not within the publication since we wanted it to represent the process and research that was done previous to the release of the publication.

Since we created this alternative reality for our narratives, the choice of AI generated images came as instinctual since the images although based off real data, are in fact fictional, in a way complementing and illustrating our intentions with the publication. Which was to create fiction out off reality.

Multiple fictional stories

Everybody came in with their own interests and topics they wanted to investigate, by conversation we came together as group to achieve a theme we were all interested to dive deeper in. The classes on fiction writing were a key point into developing our identity as a group.
Everyone collaborated in equal parts by using their talents and abilities from each program of WDKA
In the end we were able to shine light on the topic of misuse of religion by the use of violence.
